By using TripFund, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
TripFund lets you and your group pool money toward a shared travel goal. We facilitate payments through Stripe; we do not hold your funds directly. Money in a pot is held by the payments processor until you withdraw it.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials secret.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
Payments
- Deposits, subscriptions, and withdrawals are processed by Stripe under their terms.
- TripFund charges no per-transaction fee on the free tier. Standard Stripe processing fees apply.
- Premium subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled from Settings → Subscription.
- Refund requests: support@tripfund.app.
Group pots
The pot creator is responsible for withdrawing and distributing funds. TripFund is not a party to arrangements between members. If a dispute arises within a pot, resolve it with your group before contacting us.
Acceptable use
- No fraud, money laundering, or illegal activity.
- No abusive language in chat.
- No attempts to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
Termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Warranty + liability
The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, TripFund is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability is the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in-app 14 days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA. Disputes go to state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County.
